Connecting a domain to Yandex.Connect serviceĬonnecting a domain to Yandex.Connect is a very trivial task that can be solved within a few minutes. We press the button and change the account, if for some reason the list does not contain an account registered in the Yandex.Connect service, then you need to log in by selecting "Another account" and specify the login as shown in the screenshot:

If you go to Yandex.Connect pages without being authorized, then we will be greeted by a page on which there will be a link to the login and registration page at the top right, and if you are logged in with an account that is not registered with Yandex.Connect, then such a page will meet you : You should not have any special problems with authorization. I’ll talk about connecting a domain in another part of this article.Īs you see, I will have a login during authorization, in the future I will replace it withįill out the form, click the "Register" button and find ourselves on the main page of the newly created office.Īs you can see, there is a button at the bottom left that encourages us to add our domain, from this we will start working with the service. Please note that we can replace in the future with our domainwhich is not hard enough to connect to this service. I do not advise you to specify too long phrases because in the end you will have a very long login, which will look like this: Here you need to indicate any word in Latin, which should not be occupied. We go to the registration page and enter some information.Īs you can see, the set of fields is very elementary and you should not have any special problems with filling them out, the only thing worth describing is the purpose of some of them. Registration in the service is very elementary and does not require special comments, except for explanations of what is there and why. But let's register first and see what awaits us in this service. This tool allows you to create documents and work with these documents together with employees within a department or a separate team. In addition to Yamba, Yandex.Connect also has a Wiki, in my opinion this is essentially the basis around which the whole process of working on projects should be built. In fact, Yandex.Connect is a collection of well-known services: Yandex.Mail, Yandex.Disk, as well as hitherto unknown ones, such as Yamb, which makes it possible to exchange instant messages between employees allowing you to arrange both group and private chats. Having registered and played around with the service, I realized that I really like it. I am not a sophisticated user of such systems, I just tried to use some of the variety that is presented in large numbers. I found out about this service, like many others, the next time I visited the service "". Simon, one or two people asked if you were able to import your tab delimited DiskTracker file successfully into DiskCatalogMaker but I haven’t seen you answer if you did or if was successful.Attention! The article is in the process of being filled, and will soon be published in full. Could be because I was including thumbnails to be created/included in the archives.

I also tried back then (on same older imac running High Sierra) to archive disc by disc directly with DiskCatalogMaker however found it was taking way too long for each disc. I have a new iMac now with Catalina so I’ll try the process once again. However I don’t think it imported well as the listing was somewhat scrambled or gave an error. Following instructions I exported the DiskTracker file as tab delimited and imported to DiskCatalogMaker. And so I tried it (on the High Sierra iMac which I was then using at the office so that when the time came for upgrading to Catalina I would be good to go. I discovered DiscCatalogMaker which seemed nice with the ability to save associated files thumbnails which could aid in identifying files.

I was quite disappointed to learn DiskTracker wasn’t updating/upgrading their software from way back then so only could be used up to Mac OSX High Sierra therefore not compatible with Catalina. Accumulated well over 350-400 discs over the years.

I work in an advertising agency’s art department and was responsible for archiving discs of artwork burnt to CD/DVD discs in order to free up artists hardrive space and of course to archive and search for whenever. Add me to the list of longtime DiskTracker users.
